The lodge is situated in a recreation area of Senec in direct contact with the lake. Original double lodge no longer met the demands of owners and thus initiated a new extension. The new building is based on what’s left of the original cottage, part of which became part of the bottom base.
The basic idea of the project was to bring a community character living on one plot. Projecst links five separate residential units into one unit. Mass is divided into two objects, which are connected by a covered patio that serves for all inhabitants. On top of that, each unit has its own terrace. A simple spiral staircase connecting all three floors provides much needed vertical link.
In a top bottom direction the building is further divided into lower platform (with two separate units) and upper cabins (with three units). The upper cabins are materially different from each other. The first one’s facade ius clad with a zinc alloy metal with a standing seam, the other has a facade of cement-bonded particleboards with smooth naturally cement-grey surface plates bolted to a wooden supporting grid.
