Byt s úžitkovou plochou 120 metrov štvorcových sa nachádza v centre Bratislavy v bytovom dome za začiatku 20. storočia. Návrh do veľkej miery zachováva pôvodnú dispozíciu. Výrazným priestorovým prvkom dispozície je emfiláda prechádzajúca celým obytným traktom bytu. Zásahy do pôvodnej dispozície sú minimálne. Návrh sa sústredil na vytvorenie novej kuchyne s jedálňou, ktorá vznikla spojením pôvodnej vstupnej chodby a starej kuchyne. Pôvodne najväšiu izbu orientovanú do ulice aj dvora sme rozdelili nábytkovou stenou so šatníkom tak, aby pribudla nová miestnosť slúžiaca ako pracovňa.
The kitchen forms the heart of this household. It is directly accessed from the communal balcony, thus becoming part of the everyday neighbourly exchange. It forms the entrance to the apartment as well as the window into the courtyard.
The 120 sq m apartment is located in the town centre of Bratislava within a building dating to the beginning of 20th Century. Alterations to the apartment are minimal, preserving to a large degree the original layout. A specific spatial feature is the succession of spaces throughout the entire apartment. The redesign focused on forming a new kitchen and dining area, which was created through joining of the original entrance hall and the old kitchen, overlooking the communal access balcony. The largest room overlooking the street has been divided through a walk-in closet, creating an additional study room.
